When Brett Mitchell purchased Tilers Trade Centre Qld in October 2014, he already knew the business inside out. Having managed it for nearly four years under the previous owner, he recognised both its value and its potential.
When the opportunity came up to buy the business, Brett did not hesitate. He could see the chance to build on a strong foundation and play a part in supporting the continued growth of the Sunshine Coast across construction, renovation, and real estate.
Brett moved to the Sunshine Coast more than 20 years ago and has built both his life and business here. He is married to Sandra, a proud Queenslander, and together they have built Tilers Trade Centre as a trusted local business with strong family values at its core.
With a background that includes tyre fitting with Bridgestone, along with experience in retail, transport, and the tile industry, Brett brings practical knowledge and a grounded approach to customer service. He understands the importance of giving straightforward advice, supplying the right products, and helping customers get the job done properly.
As the business has grown, so too has the family’s involvement. Nathan now manages the Trade Centre, while Ryan helped establish the business with Brett and Sandra and has since gone on to become a floor tiler himself. It is a true family business, built on hard work, loyalty, and long-term commitment to the trade.
Under Brett’s leadership, Tilers Trade Centre has continued to expand, including the extension of the warehouse to better serve its growing customer base.
